Students have a chart to track their progress in writing a RARE2 response. Fill it out for each RARE2 response you complete. When you have met the standard for each category for three responses in a row, select one to be graded for your marking period grade. If you cannot get three perfect responses this marking period, select your best response for grading and give it to Mr. Powell by October 15th.

RA = Restate the question and give the answer

R = Gives one or two reasons

E = Gives evidence for each reason

E = Explains how the evidence fits the reason
